Football & Daddy Baby Time

11:43 PM

On Saturday we watched some of the MN Gopher football game against North Dakota State U. Or should I say we watched the NDSU game?? NDSU kicked butt and I was so excited. I do support the MN sports, but we know Offensive Tackle # 77 Nate Safe on the NDSU Team (Nate). He grew up with and graduated with Lincoln's youngest brother, Clinton. Not only that but the Gophers really should have won...that's why I was so excited...the game was great and we weren't even there. Below is a picture of Chloe with Daddy watching Nate. Way to go BISON!

Well, MEA is over and I can finally send Luke back to school tomorrow. I love the kid, but he needs to get out of the house. :) Ha. Not nice.

I am really excited for Halloween. We got our pumpkins on Saturday so we are ready to carve next week. The kids have their costumes. Luke's a skeleton, Ashlyn's a pretty witch and Chloe is a mermaid. I can't wait. We are going to go to the parade in Cannon Falls at 4. It's not really a parade, but the kids all start from the parking lot of a church on main street and at 4:00 they let the kids go up and down main street to trick-or-treat at the businesses. They block the road for about an hour to do this. It's really a great idea. I hope the weather is OK. One year it was 75 and the kids were sweating in their costumes and last year we were so cold it took an hour to thaw out. I am excited to post pictures. I bought Chloe's costume so long ago on clearance...I hope it still fits her, she grew faster than I expected. :)

Next Thursday Lincoln, Chloe and I are flying out to Denver to visit Serene. Lincoln is going to a convention out there also so we made it into a teeny, tiny vacation. I am excited for that. We're only bringing Chloe because...well for a couple reasons. #1: I can't leave her yet. I think she's only done a couple overnighters in her 5 months, if that. I did leave her with Lincoln when she was a month and a half old and it was brutal on me all weekend. I just can't do it yet & #2: she's free to fly. :) I have to pay a whole adult ticket for anyone over 2. So, this should be an interesting adventure and I am sure she'll do great.

In the middle of November we are taking the kids on another long weekend to Baxter, MN to The Lodge at Brainard Lakes. It looks fun. It's got an indoor water park and our room looks nice. I love taking the kids to water parks. They have so much fun.

All these plans are really going to make time fly by. After our up north trip is Thanksgiving, a week after that we will hopefully have a new niece or nephew and then it's Christmas not long after that. I am half way done with my Christmas shopping and if I haven't purchased it yet, I know what to purchase when I get out shopping. Kudos to the person who thought of drawing names for Christmas...saves so much time and $$$$.

I think that's it for now. It's 12:30 am and I have a doctor appt. at 8:30 in the morning. Yuck.

Good nite.
