It's 2008

Did you ever think back in the 80's (if you are old enough to remember the 80's) that we'd ever get to the 2000's? Wow. Time really flies. I think that my son will graduate high school in 2020. My baby will graduate in 2025...my nieces a year later. I can't even imagine being in the year 2020. Weird. This post also marks the one year anniversary of this blog. That was dumb, but true. I decided that if maybe I posted my resolutions for the year, I'll stick to them better...we can hope anyway.

1. Lose 50 pounds...I have no goal date, but I've started. Also attached to this one is working out 3-4 nights a week.

2. Catch up on my scrapbooking. So...I am going to stop facebooking and my spacing as much and spend my evenings scrapping. My goal is to be caught up by Chloe's 1st birthday. This is going to be a tough one though as I don't have anywhere to throw my stuff down and leave it there. I may have to rent a spot in my sis-in-law's sewing room in her basement...or haul everything to church and spend a lot more time there. :) j/k Bonnie.

3. Become less in debt. Stop spending money and save what I can.

4. Help make my kids understand that my kitchen is not a restaurant and they are going to have to learn to like all the foods Lincoln and I eat and to quit being so stinkin' picky.

5. Ashlyn - totally potty trained.

6. Get this house in order. Throw, sell, organize, fix and clean. (Cars too).

7. Try and get more time in with family that we never seem to get to see. It's just so hard for us to go great distances though...

Wow, I have more, but there is only so much you can fit into a year. So far this year, we have no weddings to be in or at, no 'close' friends of family are having any babies (a few distant friends and acquaintances are though) and as far as I know there are no graduations to go to. Hmmm...what ever will we do to keep our time busy? Oh, that's right...all those resolutions above. :)

Happy New Year, everyone! Oh, and congrats to our 'young friends' Taylor and Mindi Pagel on the birth of their little girl Miley Kay born Jan. 5th. She is beautiful guys! We can't wait to meet her.

I'll leave with a few pictures.....

This is how we found Chloe one morning. I knew she was awake at one point, but when you are the 3rd child...you have to wait for mom a lot so...she must have just leaned over and fell back asleep.

I took this just this past Sunday right before Sunday School and Church. What a little diva I have. Grandma Chris bought the outfits.

Cousins.....this was taken last Sunday at basketball. They were trying to take each other's pacifiers. Here, Sophie is 4 months and Chloe is almost 8 months.

This was very funny here at home. I stripped Chloe down to get ready for a bath and then was called in a different direction. She crawled in from the living room and stood right up on the tub. I couldn't help but laugh because right after this she turned around and gave me the biggest smile ever, but I had already put the camera away. Chloe has cut 2 teeth on the bottom now and she just today started pushing a box around the kitchen while walking behind it. Scary. I don't think I am ready for that yet.

YES! I am totally with you on the whole the kitchen's a resturant thing! I get tired of hearing all the yucks and gross that it is hard not to cave in. I was told by Claire that she does not like turnkey because they have butts. I didn't know how to argue that one. But it would be nice to cook just one meal and have everyone eat it. Just once. Is that so wrong?!?
